Maintain beauty around us by leaving the ecosystems in which we live better than we found them.
Consume less, discard less, and make more environmentally conscience decisions within reasonable financial and economic means.
Enrich, encourage, and inspire others to be more active and focus on physical, mental, and spiritual well being.
Have a little spare time? Care to take a walk? Why not help your local community by picking up non biodegradable trash?!
All it takes is 30 minutes and a trash bag. When you're out on a stroll, be it once a week or once a month, bring a trash bag, a pair of gloves, some bright/reflective clothing for motorist to see you, and a good attitude. Help clean up up our world, for the sake of it!
Others will continue to litter, it cannot be stopped. The effort to clean up after others is a benevolent task. One that is rewarding for all. The more we work together as a culture to clean up our individual communities, to make it a practice of habit, the sooner we will shift our behavior to be more mindful of the ecosystem in which we live. The more we see how much waste is discarded, perhaps the more we will be aware of how our dollar is spent, and how our use of material things affects us?
During this pandemic, please check with state and local restrictions for non-essential travel. Exercise social distancing and don't take any unnecessary risks. Safety is a priority. However, many states (such as Oregon) encourage people to take walks, run, and stay active; so long as they exercise responsible social distancing.
So if you feel like getting some fresh air, why not take a trash bag with you and pick up some rubbish?!
Be sure to wash your hands often. Do not touch your face, especially when cleaning. Keep sanitizer with you if you can. Spray surfaces with alcohol of 60% or more.
Be sure to wear proper hand and face protection. Disposable gloves or rubber gloves that can be sanitized. Eye protection and facemask can help as well. Bright cloths or reflective gear to help be seen by motorists.
Always check with current local city and state guidelines for proper social distancing. Avoid large gatherings and maintain a safe distance from others.
In order to help you make safe and responsible decisions before going out to participate, please check out your states guidelines for staying safe.
